Piracy - Unjust objurgate.

Hypocrisy of Hindi Film industry is very much there in this related blog. The other point I was thinking about is about the Anti-Piracy wave /publicity/ make aware campaigns coming out every 1 hour or so in any of your TV channels. It is nevertheless present always in the starting advertisements before a movie begins in a theatre.
Is it fair from the Film industry and more from government to make Piracy a big crime? I feel it is very unfair if the perspective is only partial. If I just look up on Word-web the meaning of Piracy what I get is ‘The act of plagiarizing; taking someone's words or ideas as if they were your own’. But according to law this is only limited to internet web-sites and pirated VCD/VHS/DVD etc. If Piracy indeed needs to be completely made illegal then Hindi Film industry should also stop stealing ideas/stories from Hollywood or from other Indian language movies.
Most of the Hindi movies that we see and most of the songs/music of Hindi movies that we hear or hum is copied or inspired (as musicians claim) from either down south of India or from. I am not making any news here, everyone knows about it. (
So don’t these acts come under the purview of Piracy. If these piracies are going to continue, and Film industry belittle itself and Indians by not being creative in their work, I really don’t mind downloading some stuff from web sites which host pirated movies. At least I don’t want to spend bucks to see a movie in a cinema hall and afterwards find that this movie is PIRATED from the core.
