State of Indian Cricket

During the last 2-3 weeks, there was a lot of controversy generated because of our own Gangu dada and new coach Greggie.
Finally, our old Indian saying "Satyamev Jayate" (always seen with National emblem of India) was again proved wrong. Now optimists will argue that it is still time for truth to win the war even if it just lost the battle. Somehow I disagree and I am really saddened and that all battles between evil and lesser evil the former is getting triumph over and over.
Anyway why should I bother?!
Lets take this case, as a common middle class fellow; what am I getting if Chappell wins or Ganguly. How is it going to help me if BCCI had taken a bold decision to remove Ganguly or had taken a idiotic decision of asking Greg to mend his ways or the actual stupid decision of not doing anything?
So why do people like me get upset, bother and waste precious time gossiping these with like minded folk? It is not a bad question though my answer is that we somehow think cricket is responsible towards me and why do I think that way? Because, for cricket we leave anything and everything, students bunk the class, even stop studying during exams(cricket is a good excuse for not studying), govt. servants take a holiday and what not. There is not a single positive thing about cricket except that it brings people together to cheer India to victory from any class or creed. But why do we think that for such a small sacrifice, Indian cricket team is accountable to us? Probably we have grown up watching, playing, enjoying and feeling the victory of 1983 and missed chances of many finals. So what? Its time to grow up.
This particular event with the preceding controversy on Match fixing of 2000 should make Indian fans realize that cricket is not more than a mere sport like other games. BCCI or the Indian cricket team will get their hefty bucks from commercials and match fees even if Ganguly remains or not, Chappell remains or not. So do not bother nothing will happen to Indian cricket, the consistency of losing will continue and surprise wins over Zimbabwe, Kenya and Bangladesh will give us the required happiness time to time. So Don't worry and be happy! and forget about all this business as I and you can't vote for captaincy which is our helplessness & cause of frustration. As of me I have decided not to think about this useless game and I am not going to feel anything if India loses, wins or even if Tendya doesn't come back to play.

What u have said abt cricket, is then true abt all sport and all forms of entertainment for that matter!!

What do i get if Lakers win or Kings loose, or what do i get if paheli goes to oscar or black goes??

Ironically, you have thought so much abt the game to put your first post on it, and say u wont think abt it anymore.
